Dank seiner günstigen Lage gelingt es dem Hotel D. Luis, ein ruhiges und komfortables Ambiente mit einer guten Erreichbarkeit des Stadtzentrums zu vereinen.

Da es in der Nähe der südlichen Rotunde der Brücke Rainha Santa Isabel liegt, kann man die Shopping-Meile von Coimbra in nur zwei Fahrminuten erreichen. Ebenfalls in zwei Minuten kann über die Brücke Santa Clara die Altstadt erreicht werden. Noch näher liegen Portugal dos Pequenitos und das Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Velha (Kloster Heilige Klara die Alte), und noch weiter oben das Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Nova (Kloster Heilige Klara die Neue).
